    INTERNET DISCUSSION GROUPS

  • Humans: The Bruce Cockburn Mailing List - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/humans-list - Humans has been going since before bread came sliced, and is an unmoderated Internet discussion group accessible via e-mail (either post-by-post or in digest format) or via the Web. The old archives stretch back to 1992 and recent archives are searchable, courtesy of list mistress Darci Chapman. Humans is an excellent source for gig reviews and BC trivia. Traffic is high sometimes and sparse at other times.

  • BC-Live - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BC-Live/ - A Humans spin-off prompted by the flaming of any discussion of bootlegged live material. The Project doesn't condone bootlegging, but has to admit that they have contributed to the process of tracking down and archiving comments by BC on his work. Traffic on this list is very managable, and Web-only subscriptions are possible.

  • Cockburn-Musicians - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cockburn-musicians/ - The Bruce Cockburn discussion list for musicians. Join this unmoderated group to discuss and exchange guitar tabs, tunings & chords, share information about gear, etc. This list is run by The Cockburn Project, the largest Internet information source on Bruce Cockburn, and contributers to this list will be helping to build the "For Musicians" section of the Project which will share information with the wider Cockburn fan/musician community. Traffic is managable and Web-only subscriptions are possible.
