  • Editor's Note: *The lyrics are pretty indecipherable from the existing copy of the song's video available to the Project. Music by Bruce Cockburn, lyrics by Bruce Cockburn and Penelope Schafer. This song is most known for its accompaning psychedelic video/film, directed by Morley Markson, featuring the band 3's A Crowd. The film was made when Bruce Cockburn was still part of the band. The song, Electrocution of the Word was never released on album or single and was only used for the short film of it. It was showcased at the Youth Pavilion of Ottawa's Central Canadian Exhibition in either 1968 or 1969.

  • June 1995:

When Bruce was asked backstage "Should I long for [a copy of] this?", he responded "No, you shouldn't long for it, but it would probably make a good blackmail item. If I ever piss off the stalking community, I'm in trouble."
