Notes on the 'High Winds White Sky' booklet

The original vinyl release of Bruce's second album, High Winds White Sky, included a small booklet containing the lyrics to the songs in Cockburn's handwriting and more of the pictures from the photo shoot for the album cover.

Taken by photographer George Pastic on a snowy day on Ward's Island in Toronto Harbor, the images make a great addition to the album package. Unfortunately, they weren't included in the original CD re-issue of the album and the booklet was not included in later pressings of the vinyl album. However, the pictures were reproduced in the Remastered version released in 2003.

Interestingly, and somewhat strangely, the size of the booklet was almost the exact size (just a touch bigger) as a CD booklet -- a good 15 or so years before the first CD. This makes it somewhat of an anomaly, as there were very few (if any) similarly sized booklets in vinyl albums from that era.
