27 March 2001 -- A collection culled from the sold-out concert series held to benefit the Campaign for a Landmine Free World, the CD features high profile folk-rock and country crossover artists and was held to educate and raise public awareness about the global landmine tragedy.

Emmylou Harris, who has led the roster of artists supporting the Campaign, proposed the singer/songwriter series to showcase some of the leading talent connected with the landmine cause in an intimate, artist-friendly setting.

The performances were arranged similar to a guitar pull or an informal songwriter-in-the-round with the artists taking turns performing songs (solo or with minimal accompaniment).

Bruce Cockburn contributes a solo performance of The Mines of Mozambique to this recording.

Portions of the proceeds of this Vanguard Records album will benefit the Campaign for a Landmine Free World, a program of Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation.
