The Bad Air Out and one other
song were played at the soundcheck). Read
her review here.

Patrick McNamara adds:
Just Bruce and his 6-string and 12-strings guitars.
(And quite a few effects.)
Longest intro was to Life Short Call
Now. Paraphrased: "When
you drive across Missouri towards Kansas City, you see lots of billboards.
Some stating "Don't have an abortion," by some Christian group,
or whatever. Also, sex shops and liquor stores also advertised with equal
vigor.
One states, and I regret not remembering the indiviual's name, let's say
Mike. "Mike's
Tattoo Shop, done while you wait." That story has little to do with
the song, which is depressing."
Intro to Different When It Comes To
You (paraphrased): "This
is the one we are slinging toward radio. If they are kind to us, you will
hear it. If they are really kind to us, you will hear it until you want to
vomit.
Funny how it works that way."
Perhaps the most powerful song was Tell
The Universe. No intro
or expounding on the lyrics, but the crowd responded.
