It was quite a haul for my wife and I to drive down from Palmdale. Neither of us were impressed with The CoachHouse, for all the great reviews I've seen on the Net - food was terrible, tables were tiny, and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable. All that said, it was a great show - we were right up by the stage to Bruce's right.
The setlist was pretty much the same as has been reviewed, but this night he didn't do Mighty Trucks Of Midnight or If I Had A Rocket Launcher. Not having read any of the other reviews beforehand, I was commenting to my wife on the way home that it would have been really great to hear Mighty Trucks Of Midnight, and If I Had A Rocket Launcher is her favorite track - so imagine our surprise (and delight!) when he included them in the set at McCabe's. Die-hard fans that we are, we stuck around the rear of The CoachHouse for Bruce to come out - only one other guy waited. Then Leslie (his roadie/assistant) was nice enough to tell us to go on back inside since it was so cold. My wife and I tried not to get too greedy and just asked for two [signatures] (on Waiting For A Miracle and Bruce Cockburn Live) and she snapped a quick picture of Bruce and me. I told Bruce that we'd see him the following night as well.
